SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – HARMAN’s DigiTech today announced it has joined forces with music retailer Sam Ash as its demo truck hits the road for an East Coast Tour to 17 Sam Ash locations beginning Sunday, April 30th. Each stop will offer clinician product demonstrations and special giveaways for gear and other prizes. Beginning in Miami Lakes, Florida the truck will travel up the coast and finish at Sam Ash in New Haven, Connecticut.

DigiTech Launches New Spring Tank Reverb Pedal

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - DigiTech today announced that the new Spring Tank reverb pedal for the iStomp(tm) is now available from the DigiTech Stomp Shop app on iTunes. The Spring Tank pedal provides the rich spring reverb effect found in vintage amplifiers and on numerous classic and contemporary recordings. Not only does the new offering produce a rich stereo spring reverb effect, it also produces the distinctive "boing" artifact unique to spring reverb trays that guitar players have come to know and love.

While the Spring Tank reverb pedal delivers the great sound of a traditional spring reverb, it also takes the concept of a spring reverb a step farther. California Guitar Trio’s Paul Richards Makes the Move to the DigiTech® iPB-10 Programmable Pedalboard for iPad®

Guitarist Paul Richards had been using the DigiTech Whammy™, RP500 multi-effects unit and even a decades-old Echo Plus, and when the iPB-10 programmable pedalboard for iPad was introduced, he was curious to try one. The DigiTech® Vocalist Live5 and HardWire HT-6 Polyphonic Tuner Are Essential Live Sound Tools for Hawthorne Heights' JT Woodruff

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Hawthorne Heights is a band that's hard to pin down. While most bands stick to a tried and true formula, Hawthorne Heights has achieved worldwide popularity by mixing elements of rock, pop, emo, alternative, post-hardcore and more into a sound all their own. The band tours constantly, and lead vocalist and guitarist JT Woodruff uses the DigiTech Vocalist Live5 and Hardwire HT-6 Polyphonic Tuner as essential live performance tools during those long months on the road.

"We don't usually travel with a sound engineer - we like to do everything ourselves," notes Woodruff. "We are happy knowing how to get our own sounds, and knowing what we want. For that reason the Vocalist Live5 is one of my favorite on-stage pedals right now because I can control my onstage vocal monitor volume independently of everything else in the PA. If the vocals coming out of the monitors aren't the best, I can always crank up the gain on the Live5 and get a great sound. It's almost too easy."

In the past 36 days, Woodruff has had a total of three days off from touring. "The Live5 helps if I'm feeling a bit weak one night. It gives me more volume in the monitor to hear over the drums or the guitar. It also warms up my voice with its reverbs and delays, and sometimes even experimenting with distortion a little. It has plenty of control over the effects without being overly complicated, and on a bad PA night it's a godsend."

The HardWire HT-6 Polyphonic Tuner also makes Woodruff's life easier onstage. "I don't use a lot of different guitars for alternate tunings. I'd rather re-tune the guitar I'm playing. When I want to drop a note, the HT-6 locks in fast and lets me make adjustments very quickly."

"As the lead singer you don't have any down time during a set." Woodruff points out. "Anyone can tune a guitar between songs, but the HT-6 lets me make adjustments while I'm playing! When I'm singing and I notice my guitar is flat, it can throw my singing off, but now that I have the HT-6, it changes everything and lets me keep playing in tune all through the show."

Dependable performance is something Woodruff relies on from DigiTech. "I like the playability, durability and reliability of DigiTech pedals. Knowing that your gear won't fail onstage helps reduce your stress. I'm supposed to be having fun and I don't even want to think about the possibility of a pedal breaking."

Guitar Virtuoso Bryan Baker On DigiTech Whammy DT: "It's An Instrument In Itself"

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Bryan Baker was seemingly born to play the guitar. By the time he was 13 he was playing in the historic Chicago jazz and blues club Kingston Mines. At age 16 he was the youngest person to be awarded a full scholarship to the Berklee College of Music. Baker has played with artists including Mike Mainieri, Mike Stern, Anthony Jackson, Allan Holdsworth and many others, and is the featured soloist on composer David Chesky's stunning Concerto for Electric Guitar and Orchestra. His band Black Baptista recently released their debut album Thread the Needle, and he is the author of Principles of Music, an instructional and philosophical instrumental tutorial.

DigiTech Eternal Descent Lyra Now Shipping: Pedal-Based Comic FX

Guitarists the world over can now add the sounds of the cross-genre Eternal Descent story to their rigs, with the new DigiTech Eternal Descent Lyra limited-edition multi-effects pedal.

Based on the Eternal Descent graphic novel and music series, the DigiTech Lyra delivers the signature tones, sounds, and effects that producer / engineer Eddie Kramer (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Kiss) and his team used to record the Eternal Descent albums. Seven preset tones, from clean to moderate overdrive to crushing distortion, are available that match seven songs from the albums.

The Eternal Descent series blends elements of fantasy, action, music, superhero, gothic, science fiction, the supernatural, and other elements into an ongoing saga featuring Lyra, the series heroine and rock singer who is constantly immersed in a battle with demons. Created by writer Llexi Leon, the comics revolve around the exploits of Lyra and her band, Constellation Nine, and rock and metal bands like Static X, Atreyu, Firewind, Shadows Fall, and others have made guest appearances.

The pedal sports the Eternal Descent logo, distinctive Lyra graphic, and a dark metallic purple finish. Each preset tone can be tweaked with the Lyra's Gain and FX Mix knobs. According to DigiTech, when the knobs are in the 12 o'clock position, the sound matches the sound of the actual song. Turning the Gain knob left or right increases or decreases the amount of amp / distortion gain, while turning the FX Mix knob left or right increases or decreases the amount of the modulation, delay, and reverb effects for each of the seven presets. A Level knob controls the output volume. The guitar pedal has mono and stereo outputs and can be powered by a 9V battery or the included AC power supply.

The various effects can be selected via the pedal's two selector knobs and dual set of LEDs indicators.
