DIGITECH® DEMO CENTER SELECTED BY MUSIC INC. FOR 2006 SUPPLIER EXCELLENCE AWARDS

— DigiTech wins award for creating an innovative and engaging Point-Of-Purchase display that highlights its extensive range of guitar effects processors —
NAMM SUMMER SESSION, AUSTIN, TX, July 14, 2006 — DigiTech®, renowned manufacturer of guitar signal processors, and a Harman International company (NYSE-HAR), was selected for a Supplier Excellence Award in the June issue of Music Inc. magazine, a leading trade journal for musical instrument retailers. In the category of Marketing: POP Displays, DigiTech won the honors for its DDC T1 and T2.
The DDC T1 and T2 are unique, modular, point-of-purchase demo merchandising systems designed to showcase DigiTech’s extensive line of guitar signal processing products. Intended to “dominate” and increase DigiTech’s presence on the MI sales floor, these freestanding floor displays feature an interactive and self-contained, modular tower and shelf design that securely houses the complete range of DigiTech pedals and processors.
Acting as a silent salesman with comprehensive information on every DigiTech product — including artist endorsements/quotes, presets, popular settings, product history, statements about the technology and more — the double-sided four-tier displays allow multiple customers to audition each individual processor. With less than a 10 square feet footprint for the double-tower display and 4 square feet footprint for the single-tower display, the DigiTech demo merchandising system can also be quickly and easily updated as future products are introduced.
“We are very pleased to be acknowledged by Music Inc. and our dealers for creating a point-of-purchase display that not only supports the complete DigiTech product line, but helps our dealers move product through the sales chain while engaging and educating consumers,” commented David Rohrer, Guitar Market Manager, DigiTech.
Music Inc.’s annual Supplier Excellence Awards honors 25 manufacturers and distributors that dealers love and, in certain ways, rely on. These are companies where added support and respect are elemental. Voted upon by retailers across North America, the awards honor suppliers in the categories of Overall Excellence, Dealer Support, Product Information, Marketing and Level Playing Field.
