DIGITECH® GUITAR WORKSTATION® SONGWRITING CONTEST WINNERS ANNOUNCED

— Winners of Guitar Workstation Songwriting Contest are awarded more than $35,000 worth of products from the Harman Professional Group —

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, March 2, 2006 — DigiTech®, a Harman International company (NYSE-HAR), has announced the ultimate original songs created by users of its acclaimed Guitar Workstations®. The GNX3, GNX4 and new GNX3000 Guitar Workstations are award winning multi-effects / digital recording guitar processors from DigiTech that give musicians the power to create, practice, perform and record. DigiTech developed the contest to increase awareness about the vast capabilities of the Guitar Workstation from multi-modeling to recording. The DigiTech Guitar Workstation Songwriting Contest awarded more than $35,000 in prizes from Harman Professional Group brands DigiTech, Lexicon®, dbx®, Crown®, Soundcraft®, JBL Pro®, AKG®, BSS Audio® and Broadjam®. Mark Hudson, hit songwriter and independent producer for Ozzy Osbourne, Ringo Starr, Aerosmith and many others, judged the contest, which was administered and hosted by Broadjam®, the #1 independent musician’s source for web-based song promotion and networking tools.

In 1st place, and Grand Prize winner of $20,000 worth of gear from Harman Pro brands, is Quebec, Canada’s Yves Pirez. Pirez’ winning song, “I Am A Supermodel,” was created using a DigiTech GNX3 Guitar Workstation. Born in Portugal and raised in Quebec, Pirez began playing bass guitar at age 9. On his own label Dreamstar Entertainment, Pirez has released a successful album as part of the duo DIGIT8.

In 2nd place, taking home $10,000 in products from Harman Pro, was Mike Weeks, who used the DigiTech GNX4 Guitar Workstation to create his song, “Man Inside Of Me.” Weeks — who began playing guitar at age 9 — plans to record an instrumental solo CD for 2007 release.

In 3rd place, winning $5,000 worth of gear from Harman Pro brands, was Vladimir Galaktionov with his instrumental “Tururushka Jam," created using the DigiTech GNX4 Guitar Workstation. A musician for more than 20 years, Galaktionov hails from Moscow, Russia, where he has performed with such luminaries as Winton Marsalis, Billie Cobham, Kevin Mahogany and Randy Brecker. His new solo instrumental project is Your Dreams Are So Unrealizable.
