DIGITECH® LAUNCHES MAJOR EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVE

— GNX4 Guitar Workstation users to benefit from web tutorials, applications guide and book —

NAMM WINTER SESSION, ANAHEIM, CA, January 20, 2005 — DigiTech® has launched a major educational initiative in support of the award-winning GNX4 Guitar Workstation. Rob Urry, DigiTech President, remarks, “The Guitar Workstation opens an entirely new product category that bridges the realms of live performance, recording, music software, practicing/rehearsal and much more. The GNX4 Guitar Workstation is so versatile, we feel it is important to educate our customers and dealers to the full potential of this new creative tool.”

The initiative has three key components. The first is an Applications Guide, written by DigiTech’s product specialists, that’s available online or from authorized dealers. The second is a series of web tutorials created by noted author/musician Craig Anderton. Dave Rohrer, DigiTech Market Manager for Guitar Products, stated, “Craig is recognized as one of the leading authors and technical writers in this industry. We’re thrilled he’s chosen to lend his talents to this project.” Anderton is the author of over 20 books on music technology, and has given lectures on technology and the arts in 37 states and 10 countries.

The third component is a book, written by Anderton and slated for publication in 1Q 2005, that brings together the web tutorials, applications notes, and additional, more generic material. Urry elaborates, “Our vision is that this book will help all guitarists — not just GNX4 owners — unlock the potential in today’s technology. Although examples are based on the GNX4, guitarists should be able to translate many of the non-GNX4-specific concepts to their own setups. This is a very exciting time for guitarists, and we’re dedicated to spreading that message.”
